Lowbed semi trailer is usually used to transport heavy vehicles (such as tractors, buses, automobiles, etc.), rail vehicles, mining machinery and forestry machines, agricultural machines (such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, etc.) and other heavy loads. The lower its center of gravity, the better its stability and safety, and the stronger its ability to transport goods and pass overhead obstacles.

Lowbed semi trailer usually use a concave beam (or well shaped) frame, where the front section of the frame is a gooseneck (the traction pin of the gooseneck front section is connected to the traction saddle on the tractor, and the rear end of the gooseneck is connected to the semi trailer frame), the middle section is a cargo platform (the lower part of the frame), and the rear end is a wheel frame (including wheels). When loading mechanical equipment onto a lowbed semi trailer, it is usually done from the rear end of the semi trailer by moving the mechanical equipment from the rear wheel frame or removing the wheels, and then fixing the mechanical equipment onto the semi-trailer.
